The renovated 23,235 square feet will add to the draw to revitalize downtown Nebraska City, a declared Enterprise Zone, to provide space for public use to access meeting space, performance space, special event space, kitchen space and any other community use that promotes the well-being of the residents of Nebraska City, and Otoe County, Nebraska.

Tax Savings 

Nebraska City Veterans Memorial Building Project (NCVMBP) is a 501 ©(3), eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions for purposes of income taxes.  Even if you take the standard deduction there are potential tax savings. 

NCVMBP also qualifies as a “qualified charity” to receive qualified charitable distributions (QCD’s).  Because a QCD can be used to satisfy required minimum distributions (RMD’s) from IRA’s, without having the income included as income for tax purposes, such a distribution becomes a viable tool to avoid paying taxes.  At the same time, it provides a mechanism for contributing to a worthy cause like the Veterans Memorial Building Project.
